Who?
Associated Students of The University of Oregon (ASUO) empowers students to become future community leaders by providing experiential opportunities in governance, self-advocacy, and leadership within student organizations. They envision a campus culture that encourages and enables students to actively participate in and shape the institution.
Graduate Teaching Fellows Federation (GTFF) is a labor union representing over 1,500 graduate teaching fellows and research assistants at the University of Oregon. They are local 3544 of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).
LiveMove is the University of Oregon transportation and livability student group, bringing together undergraduate and graduate students from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines to focus on the planning and design of transportation systems as they relate to community quality of life and livability.
Why?
Despite good efforts by the City of Eugene (Vision Zero) and Lane County (Toward Zero Deaths), too many tragedies continue to occur. Since last August, four people bicycling in Eugene have died in traffic crashes. Just over the Memorial Day weekend, a person driving along I-105 east of Coburg Road and another person driving along McVay Highway north of 30th Avenue both died, apparently in single-vehicle crashes. People from all walks of life are affected.
