On Wednesday, May 21, 5–7 pm, at Gratitude Brewing (540 E 8th Ave, Eugene), meet up with others for Bike Happy Hour to talk about all things bikes and active transportation.

During May is Bike Month and in advance of the eRide Expo, BEST welcomes featured guest Shane Rhodes (he/him) to discuss electric mobility. Shane has worked in the active transportation field for three decades. He is the Transportation Options Program Manager for the City of Eugene, a Transportation Demand Management Certified Professional (TDM-CP), and a League of American Bicyclists Coach (training new League Cycling Instructors). Previously, he was a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) practitioner for 10 years. His focus is on education and encouragement programs that help get more people using active transportation for more trips, especially youth, families, and underserved communities. In that work he has helped implement the path etiquette campaign which continues to work to improve path behavior through education and infrastructure improvements. He has worked on e-micromobility legislation and sees them as tools for getting more people connected to our wonderful city. He is also the proud father of three teens who ride their own e-bikes to school, extracurricular activities, and just for fun.

Gratitude Brewing invites you to enjoy Hump Day Happy Hour all day on Wednesdays: $1 off all beer on tap, wine, and cider. The venue also includes many nonalcoholic options and delicious food from Tradewinds Café.

Everyone is welcome! We urge you to arrive by bike, but come using whatever mode of transportation works best for you. See you there! 🚲
