Five road and bikeway projects planned for 2022 in Eugene and Springfield

With the new year comes a new slate of road improvement projects set to begin this spring and summer in Eugene and Springfield.

A total of 26 streets in Eugene are lined up for road improvement projects in 2022, and one major project in Springfield is being planned with more on the way. 

Most aren’t expected to start until the spring, according to city of Eugene project manager Rachael Love. 

“Whether you’re doing concrete or asphalt work, you have to have the right temperature. And it’s a lot harder when you have a rainy season,” Love said. 

Here are five notable road projects slated to begin later this year in the Eugene-Springfield area:
